Vezos under the moonlight

Some of the Vezo still leave as semi-nomadic ones. They spend nights at the coast of the ocean in simple tents made by their spares and sails of the boats. Wherever there are abundance of fishes and marine foods, Vezo are there. All over the year they move along the coast line and meanwhile they also visit their relatives. Family relationships are particularly important to Vezo fishers because they determine access to marine resources and fishing gear.
